BEKASI – Rising hot temperatures in several countries, including Indonesia, are the impact of the global warming phenomenon. The community also needs to take action, one of which is supporting the campaign go green for environmental welfare.

One step to support going green and loving the environment is to implement solar power plants (PLTS) for small and large scale needs. This application has also begun to be applied to public facilities such as hospitals in the East Bekasi area, West Java.

Starting from public facilities, the implementation of solar panels aims to support an environmentally friendly go green campaign.

“As is known, the issue of global warming has become a concern for the whole world today, including us in the health industry. “Certainly a lot of energy is needed for daily health service operations,” said Primaya Hospital Group CEO Leona A. Karnali when met in the East Bekasi area, West Java, Saturday (23/12/2023).

Meanwhile, one of the causes of excessive global warming is the use of too much fossil energy, such as coal and oil. Therefore, it is hoped that solar panels can be the right step to support an environmentally friendly go green campaign.

For information, the solar panels that are starting to be used in public facilities can produce 524 thousand kwh of clean energy every year. This is equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 469 thousand kilograms per year.

As an illustration, the reduction in carbon emissions resulting from installing solar panels is equivalent to the positive impact of planting more than 6,000 trees.

The use of solar panels can also reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other negative environmental impacts resulting from conventional energy sources. This certainly helps promote the go green campaign in public facilities, and creates a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
