New Delhi: The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the petition filed by the country’s women wrestlers seeking to register an FIR against BJP MP and Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Saran Singh. Noting that the allegations of the actors were serious, the court sent a notice to the Delhi Police for not registering the case. The court sent a notice asking for a reply on the matter on Friday.

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal appeared before Chief Justice D.Y. brought to the attention of Chandrachud. He asked that information about the petitioners be protected in this case. The court asked what was alleged in the petition. ‘These women wrestlers are on strike. Seven women filed complaints. One is a minor. But FIR has not been registered in the case. The rule of this Court has been violated. – Kapil Sibal informed.

The women players alleged that despite committing POCSO offences, even an FIR was not registered against the president of the wrestling federation. The complaint of the stars is about the harassment that took place in 2012. The wrestlers including the complainants are protesting at Jantar Mantar in this matter.

Kapil Sibal reminded the court that there is a law to prosecute the police for not registering a case. The case will be heard again on May 28.
