jpnn.comSURABAYA – The Judicial Commission (KY) has examined the panel of judges at the Surabaya District Court (PN), East Java, which acquitted the defendant Gregorius Ronald Tannur (GRT) in the murder case of Dini Sera Afrianti.

KY member and spokesperson Mukti Fajar Nur Dewata explained that the examination took place at the Surabaya High Court, Monday.

“KY has examined the panel of judges at the Surabaya District Court in Case Number 454/Pid.B/2024/PN Sby regarding the acquittal verdict against the defendant GRT, Monday,” said Mukti in a press release received in Jakarta.

According to Mukti, the summons to the panel of judges was a right of response to the alleged violation of the Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Judges’ Conduct (KEPPH) reported by Dini Sera Afrianti’s family.

However, Mukti could not explain the examination material because the examination was closed and was only used for ethical examination purposes.

“This examination aims to find out whether there are any alleged violations of ethics and judge behavior or not,” he said.

On the other hand, Surabaya High Court Public Relations Bambang Kustopo, when confirmed in Surabaya, East Java, Monday said that the panel of judges being questioned were Erintuah Damanik together with Mangapul and Heru Hanindyo.

The examination was carried out by a number of investigators from the Judicial Commission at around 11:00 WIB. Bambang emphasized that in the examination his party only facilitated the place, while the examination was carried out by the KY team itself.

The panel of judges who gave Ronald Tannur an acquittal sentence underwent an examination by the KY.
