Suresh Gopi Circulation distorted the speech; Said another; No disrespect to non-believers or atheists: Suresh Gopi – News18 Malayalam

by time news

Suresh Gopi said that his speech was distorted. In the past few days, a video has gone viral in which Suresh Gopi made a remark against atheists.

‘When I say that I love my Gods and love all the believing men in the world. He will say with pride that he has no love for unbelievers. No force that comes against the rights of believers will be tolerated. He would go and pray in front of this shrine for the destruction of those who come. Everyone should do it like that’, was the part that came out.

But Suresh Gopi clarified through a social media post that it was edited and what he said was different.

“I have seen a video clip circulating from one of my recent speeches, but it was badly edited. I would like to know this issue and solve it. I have no disrespect for the valuable, sensible and thoughtful position of non-believers or atheists. Never will. I didn’t talk about them, they just chopped up what I said to satisfy some people’s poisonous desire to divert my point.

I spoke of the obstacles and attempts to defeat the constitutionally acceptable display of my religion. If anyone tries to infiltrate in the name of politics or other religions, I pray for their destruction. I meant the Sabarimala distractions and all the political forces that came against my religious right. That was my only intention and content. No *** will be allowed to take politics for political gains. I am totally against it. Let me state my point, and let no one divert it. I am not talking politics here and will never say it,’ Suresh Gopi wrote in the post.
