A decade later, Suresh Gopi is back on the silver screen in a police uniform. Police getup footage of flashback scenes of Joshi’s Pappan’s Suresh Gopi’s Abraham Mathew Mathen has been released for the first time today.
So far, only pictures of the star in a salt & pepper look have been released by Pappan’s insiders. Suresh Gopi was last seen in a police uniform in The King & The Commissioner released in 2012. Nyla Usha will play the lead role of Suresh Gopi in the flashback scenes. Director Joshi shot the scenes together in a beautiful backdrop in the hilly areas of Illikkal, Ilaveezhapoonchira and Thikkoy in Kottayam district.
After the hugely successful Porinchu Mariam Jose, Joshi is preparing Pappan Suresh Gopi’s 252nd film in his career. The Suresh Gopi-Joshi duo, which has produced bumper hits such as Lelam and Patram, has also made Suresh Gopi a solo hero after a gap of 22 years. The film, which is being prepared as a crime investigation thriller, has a huge cast. This is the first time that Suresh Gopi and his son Gokul have teamed up in a movie.
The film is being produced by David Kachappilly and Rafi Mathira under the banner of David Kachappilly Productions and Ifar Media. The film is scripted by RJ Shan. Cinematography by Ajay David Kachappilly, Co-production by Sujith J Nair and Shaji.
