Alia Bhatt has finally hit the screens as ‘Gangubhai’. Fans have been waiting for Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubhai Kathiyawadi’ since the release of the trailer. The next question was whether the film would live up to expectations. The answer may be the same in terms of Alia Bhatt’s performance, but the fact is that ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ does not turn out to be a huge cinematic experience as it has to be considered as a whole.
When Sanjay Leela Bhansali becomes the director, everyone will expect a visual treat. When you think of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, you will think of everything from gorgeous sets to costumes, storylines and a huge cast. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also tried ‘Gangubhai Kathiyawadi’ for a visual feast. But compared to Sanjay Bhansali’s previous films, ‘Gangubai’ has not reached that level.

An innocent teenage girl has to go to a brothel with the man she loves. The film tells the story of her later struggle and how she became ‘Gangubhai’. Alia Bhatt’s character turns into a woman who can decide her own affairs. The film also mentions the brother-sister relationship with ‘Rahim Lala’. The film is inspired by the life story of a woman named Gangubhai Kothewali in Hussain Saeed’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’.
The big sets are becoming as attractive here as they were in Sanjay Bhansali’s previous films. But Alia Bhatt’s performance is the key to the film’s success. The helplessness, pain and innocence of Alia’s eyes in the scenes that become the symbol of every woman who is forced into the meat trade will haunt the movie goers. Ajay Devgn’s performance as ‘Rahim Lala’ is also excellent. Ajay Devgn has made another actor unimaginably beautiful as ‘Rahim Lala’. Shantanu Maheshwari has arrived in the film as a surprise package. The film also stars Vijay Ras.

Despite being a film based on ‘Gangubhai’, the film failed to come up with a script. The director was also a film with a lot of potential, but it did not reach that level. Naturally, a lot can be expected from players like Vijay Ross. But the screen was too small for Vijay Razai. The songs of the already released films are beautiful but have not become a big positive factor for the overall structure of the film. In short, Alia Bhatt stands tall in the film.
