The Sahra Wagenknecht alliance continues to score points with voters. In a recent survey, the BSW reached 10 percent for the first time.
According to a new poll, the newly founded Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) is seeing increasing ratings. In the current survey conducted by the Insa opinion research institute on behalf of “Bild am Sonntag”, the BSW is at 10 percent (+1) nationwide – this is a record for the party, writes the newspaper. The AfD is also gaining ground in the survey, reaching 18 percent (+1).
The other parties remain unchanged: the Union is at 30 percent, the SPD at 15 percent and the Greens at 11 percent. The FDP would narrowly get into the Bundestag with 5 percent, while the Left would miss out with 3 percent.
The polling institute Insa surveyed 1,203 citizens between July 22 and 26. According to Insa, the maximum statistical margin of error is 2.9 percentage points.
Election polls are generally always subject to uncertainty. Among other things, declining party ties and increasingly short-term voting decisions make it more difficult for opinion research institutes to weight the data collected. In principle, polls only reflect the opinion at the time of the survey and are not predictions of the election outcome.
