Survey – Who will be the young athlete of the month for November?

Whe is Lower Austria’s young athlete of the month for November? The users on NÖN.at can now have a say.

And this is how it works: From sports organizations and that SPORT.LAND.Lower Austria will nominate those future hopefuls who particularly made people sit up and take notice with their sporting achievements in the past month.

Fans can watch for ten days NÖN.at vote. At the same time, a jury of experts weighs in – two-thirds of their judgment counts towards the weighted overall ranking. The expert jury is composed as follows: representatives of all Lower Austrian sports umbrella organizations, sports media (NÖN, ORF NÖ), Lower Austrian Insurance, Lower Austrian State School Council, Lower Austrian State Government Sports Department, Lower Austrian Sports Center as well as former prominent Lower Austrian sports personalities (since 2017 also the annual winner of the NÖN public election at the end of the year will be part of the expert jury for one year each). The fans can fill a third of the points account. And get excited when it opens NÖN.at the young athlete of the month is presented.

The nominees:

  • Lina BAUER 18 years old, weightlifting, Badener AC, 7th place at the U20 European Championships with Austrian U20 record
  • Laura-Sophie KUNYIK 15 years, Judo, JC Klosterneuburg, 5. Place at the U18 European Cup
  • Elias LACHKOVIC 20 years, athletics, SV Schwechat, 2nd place at the Austrian U23 cross-country championship
  • Chiara SEMMELMEYER 18 years old, tennis, UTC Waidhofen/Ybbs, Austrian indoor national champion in doubles and top 8 in singles
  • Timo HAMMARBERG 20 years, beach volleyball, VCU Wr. Neustadt, bronze medal at the World Beach Pro Tour Challenge
  • Phillip ECKHART 13 years old, artistic gymnastics, Union Mödling, 5x gold at the Austrian Youth Championships in the all-around, rings, horizontal bars, vault and with the team

Participation is possible until December 21st.
