jpnn.com – JAKARTA – General Chairperson of the NasDem Party DPP Surya Paloh invited all political elites to accept the decision of the Constitutional Court which rejected the request for dispute over the results of the 2024 Presidential Election (PHPU) submitted by presidential candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
According to Surya, the Constitutional Court’s decision to reject the 2024 PHPU presidential election application is a final and binding decision.
“I think for NasDem this is a final and binding decision for all legal procedures in this country,” said Surya Paloh answering journalists’ questions during a press conference at the NasDem Party DPP Office, in Jakarta, Monday (22/4).
According to Surya, the Constitutional Court’s decision which confirmed the victory of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair should not stop the struggle to continue developing the country.
“I want to remind everyone, the struggle to develop this country must not stop, nor should we feel discouraged because there is a decision that does not meet expectations. This is a consequence of democracy,” he said.
Surya also invited all political elites to appreciate and respect the decision of the Constitutional Court. He considers an attitude of respect and appreciation to be the nation’s strength to maintain national stability.
“Indonesia needs this spirit, this spirit. You can fight with each other in the competition, but when the competition is over you have to respect it. The loser respects the winner, and the winner, especially. This is what strength should be,” he said.
Airlangga said that in order to achieve national stability, the example of the nation’s elite needs to be shown in public.
