Suspected hate crimes in the USA: two Jews were wounded by gunfire

by time news

Two shootings at Jews in Los Angeles in the United States, in one day. Yesterday (Thursday) a Jewish man was shot after leaving the synagogue in a neighborhood with a large Jewish population. He was injured, treated and released from the hospital. The police said that it is not yet known whether the incident was a hate crime or had an anti-Semitic motive.

On the fourth, a similar incident occurred, in which a Jew was shot near a synagogue, in this case too, the background is still unknown. A suspect connected to both incidents was arrested, while he was in possession of a weapon at the time of the arrest. The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles said the incidents were part of a “history of hostility toward the Jewish community” and that they would be classified as hate crimes.
