Suspicion of murder in East Jerusalem: A 23-year-old man was apparently shot dead last night (Wednesday-Thursday) in the Shuafat area. The deceased, Amir Lidavi, a resident of Anata in the east of the city, was brought in with a MDA intensive care unit in a critical condition, which evacuated him for medical treatment at Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital, while performing resuscitation operations.
Police forces were called to the scene and an investigation was opened to investigate the circumstances of the case. Police began searching for the suspects, who apparently fled on a motorcycle after firing at the vehicle in which the victim was traveling from the Shuafat refugee camp.
In another violent incident that took place during the night, a 25-year-old man was moderately injured on the national leading street in Rosh HaAyin. MDA medics and paramedics provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva with penetrating injuries.
In the evening, Ibrahim Balkis, a 29-year-old resident of Haifa, was shot dead while he was in his car in the Halisa neighborhood of the city. As a result of the shooting, another person was lightly injured. Balkis arrived at the hospital independently when his condition was serious, but was soon pronounced dead.
Police have opened an investigation and are conducting searches for the shooters. Because the recent violent incidents have led to riots near the hospitals where the victims were treated, large police forces and YSMMs were rushed to Rambam Hospital to maintain order near it.
