Two men are dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Green Tree, Allegheny County. The incident occurred on Friday evening, when first responders were called to a reported shooting in the 200 block of Woodridge Drive around 5:40 p.m.
According to Allegheny County police, an adult male victim was shot in the chest. Officers pulled the victim out of the residence and he was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, described as a relative of the victim, was still inside the residence at the time.
The South Hills SWAT team was called to the scene and entered the residence, where they found the suspect, an adult male, deceased from a self-inflicted single gunshot wound. The names of the two individuals involved have not been released.
Allegheny County police are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
