Carabineros confirmed the arrest of four suspects for the shooting which left two dead and one seriously injured in the commune of Puente Alto, in the Metropolitan Region.

For this episode, Three of those involved arrived wounded at the Karol Wojtyla Cesfam, two of them dying on the spot, while the third is between life and death, being sent to the Sótero del Río Hospital.
For its part, Carabineros indicated that it carried out a series of procedures for this shooting in Puente Alto, detailing that “Four subjects involved in the murder of two people that occurred this afternoon (Friday) were arrested.”
“The detainees have different police records, one of them with a valid arrest warrant for the crime of homicide,” the institution added.
Meanwhile, Commander Ignacio Toledo, of the Santiago Cordillera prefecture, explained that relatives of the deceased tried to enter the Cesfam, which was surrounded by Carabineros.
“But for security reasons, the support of specialized COP (Public Order Control) personnel was requested, who cooperated to be able to isolate the place,” he said, adding that “once the place was isolated and patient care was suspended, the management of the health center decided not to provide further care to the public, so the health center was closed.”
