Two people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Azerbaijani soldiers in Lachin in March 2022.
Senior Assistant to the Military Prosecutor – Head of the Press Service of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan, Chief Justice Advisor Firad Aliyev told Trend on Wednesday, Day.Az reports.
“In the criminal case investigated by the Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Babayev Tabriz Rasim oglu was charged under Articles 329.2.1, 329.2.2, 329.2.6 and 341.3, and Gamashyev Taleh Mohubbat oglu – under Article 341.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the disappearance of servicemen of the Azerbaijani army, soldiers Mammadov Farid Ajdar oglu and Abdullayev Firdovsi Mais oglu in the territory of the Lachin district on March 3, 2022. The cases were sent for consideration to the Fizuli District Prosecutor’s Office.
By the decision of the Fizuli Military Court dated September 22, 2023, Babayev Tabriz Rasim oglu and Gamashyev Taleh Mohubbat oglu were found guilty of committing crimes under the above-mentioned articles and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment,” the department said in a statement.
