Moments of anxiety tonight (Monday) at Rambam Hospital in Haifa, after security guards fired at a suspect in the kurkar parking lot outside the hospital, during the execution of a suspect’s arrest procedure.
The investigation of the incident revealed that because a suspicious person who arrived at the scene refused to identify himself at the request of the security guards, at a certain point the suspect tried to escape on foot and one of the security guards performed a suspicious arrest procedure including shooting in the air. A police force was called to the scene and the NCO of the Rambam Medical Center, who was present at the scene, arrested the suspect.
At this point, the suspect, born in 1998 and a resident of Kfar Metzar, was transferred to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
