Ebenezer, who went to Jebabrinza’s house drunk last Thursday night, talked to him affectionately saying that he will not behave like this again if he buys 10 lakh rupees from his father to build a new house. He then took Jebaprinza on his bike saying he was taking her home. Ebenezer stopped his bike when he went to a dark area on the banks of Mulachal river and dropped his wife Jebabrinsa. Later, Ebenezer slashes Jepharinza with his hidden scythe. Jebaprinza collapsed and fell on the road and died on the spot due to a flood of blood. Ebenezer escaped on a bike when the villagers gathered there hearing the screams of Jebabrinza.
Acting on the information, the Thakala police recovered the body of Jebabrinsa and sent it to the Kanyakumari Medical College Hospital in Asaripallam for post-mortem examination. Then they searched for Ebenezer who had fled. Fearing the police, Ebenezer tried to commit suicide by drinking poison. Seeing this, his relatives admitted him to a private hospital in Marthandam for treatment. The Takkala police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
