“The insurance activity has sustainability at its core. We are an economic sector that has its sights set, always, on the long term”, affirmed yesterday the president of UNESPA, Pilar González de Frutos, at the public presentation of the ‘Social Memory of Insurance 2021’.

”The general panorama that is drawn in this report is that of a sector committed to the transition towards a fairer and more sustainable economy”. And he added: “The insurance believes in the existence of a society that has a network that protects against misfortune and contributes to generating prosperity for all. That is our vocation. Care for people”.

The largest service network for society

As the ‘Social Memory of Insurance’ has been showing for several years, the figures confirm that “we are the largest service network for society”, in the words of the president of UNESPA. in his single dayfor example, are served:

  • 152,000 visits to the specialist doctor
  • 284,360 medical acts
  • 12,300 repairs in company buildings
  • 10,000 roadside assistance
  • 829 burials
  • 496 care for injured in accidents
  • 9,854 vehicles repaired
