It sometimes fades into the background, but we are living in a pivotal decade. The UN predicts that global warming is likely to reach a level of 2.5 to 2.9 degrees by 2050. Theoretically, the climate targets set in Paris, according to which warming should remain below two degrees if possible, could still be met. Corresponding programs are running – but they seem too slow.
