Participants in this meeting, organized in collaboration with the National Agency for Water and Forests and the Province of Ifrane, will discuss current environmental challenges and the potential for sustainable development.

According to the organizers, this workshop will focus on themes related to, in particular, ecotourism, natural resource management and the adoption of Nature-based Solutions (NbS).

This event, which will explore strategies for more resilient and sustainable management of territories, will be an opportunity to build links, exchange innovative ideas and consider future collaborations.

Integrating the Resilience project, this workshop is part of the initiatives and efforts deployed to promote the resilience of territories in the face of climatic and environmental challenges.

It will highlight the pioneering role of Ifrane, designated in 2022 as the first Moroccan city labeled “City of Wetlands” by the Ramsar Convention.

According to the same source, this prestigious recognition demonstrates Ifrane’s commitment to the preservation and sustainable management of its wetlands, for the benefit of local communities and biodiversity.

The program will include training sessions, mobilization workshops and field meetings between institutional actors and members of the Resilience associative network, with the aim of encouraging a collaborative and integrated approach to the management of wetlands and natural resources.
