Suzuki exceeded 3 million cars produced (3,172,192 units) in 2022, 10.7% more than in 2021, chaining two consecutive years of growth. Suzuki experienced an increase in production in Japan between January and December 2022, due to the increase in automobile manufacturing, both for the domestic market and for export.

Production also grew outside Japan due to the increase in manufacturing in countries such as India (which registered a record annual production) or Hungary.

Suzuki’s overall sales in Japan declined in 2022, due to declining mini-car sales, despite rising standard and small-vehicle sales.

Abroad registered a year-over-year increase due to the increase in sales in regions such as India, Latin America, Oceania or Africa. These last three markets recorded record annual sales. As a result, a total of 2,968,494 cars were sold worldwide, 7.4% more than in 2021, chaining two consecutive years of growth.
