Let’s take advertising. Do I want advertising that is no longer personalized? At least not me. We also have to look at smaller companies with niche products. If nobody can be targeted with advertising anymore, they won’t find their audience anymore. It’s too expensive to advertise them widely, so they will limit it or not do it at all. This is bad for the economy. And if these companies don’t survive, so will the competition and thus the customers.
