Sven-Göran Eriksson has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, which prompted a documentary to be made by Amazon Prime Video.
In the trailer recently released, it is possible to hear the former Benfica coach in what seems to be a message addressed to fans and people he has crossed paths with throughout his life, ending with a farewell.
“I had a good life. I think we are all afraid of the day we die, but life is also about death; you have to learn to accept it as it is. I hope that in the end people say ‘yes, he was a good man,’ but not everyone will say that,” Eriksson noted.
Finally, the former coach said: “I hope you remember me as a positive person who did everything he could. Don’t mourn, smile. Thank you for everything, coaches, players, the public, everyone has been fantastic. Take care of yourselves and take care of your lives. And live them. Goodbye.” Here’s a look:
