Sven-Olof Sällström has been a Member of Parliament since 2010, as long as the Sweden Democrats have been a parliamentary party. He has previously been deputy chairman of the Riksdag’s defense committee, a post he left in November. Then he had also left the post as a member of the defense committee earlier in the summer.
“Svenne’s importance to the Sweden Democrats’ success cannot be emphasized enough, but everything has its time. Today I am primarily mourning a dear friend,” writes Jimmie Åkesson on his Facebook page.
