A Swedish man has been kidnapped to Germany.

Several gang criminal men were arrested in connection with it.

All were found in a hotel room in Berlin, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

In mid-January, a Swedish man in his 50s was kidnapped, according to Aftonbladet’s information. A few days later, Swedish police were alerted that the man had been found – in Germany.

It turned out that the man had been beaten and abducted in his own car by several men.

After the man disappeared, the police sent an international request for help to find the man, something that German media also reported on.

Must have been seen in Norway

After a few days, the German police got in touch – the kidnapped man had then been found in a hotel in Berlin. In connection with that, four people between the ages of 17 and 35 were also arrested, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

Several of the suspects come from, or have a connection to, Sweden. They are also suspected of having a connection to gang crime.

Another Swedish man, who has been suspected of, among other things, illegal threats and extortion in Sweden, is also believed to have been involved in the kidnapping.

However, he was not found at the hotel. According to information, the man was later seen in Norway.

Unclear motive

Why the man was kidnapped is currently unclear. The police suspect that it may be some form of extortion, according to information.

However, he does not appear in any of the police registers, and is previously unpunished.

The man is from Svealand and has returned home.

The incident is now being investigated by both Swedish and German police.
