Semyonov covered the distance in one minute and 14.68 seconds, taking third place in his preliminary swim.

In order to enter the final, it was necessary to finish among the top eight athletes in a competition of 12 swimmers.

Ukrainian Yury Shenhur showed the best result in the preliminaries, who finished in one minute and 9.32 seconds.

The final in the 100-meter distance in the S-7 medical group will take place already tonight at 18.30 Latvian time.

It has already been reported that Semyonov already competed in the 200-meter medley in his second Olympic Games, taking ninth place.

Semyonov will also compete in the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter butterfly in Paris. At the Tokyo Paralympic Games, he won eighth place in the 50-meter backstroke.

The Paris Paralympic Games will take place until September 8, with Latvians competing in athletics, paralympic dressage, cycling, swimming and shooting.

22 sports are represented at the Paralympic Games, in which about 4,400 athletes compete.
