Swiss Ambassador to Bangladesh Reto Rengli said that Switzerland will work as a partner in the development of Bangladesh. Brigadier General (Retd.) At this time, Swiss Ambassador Reto Rengli praised the promising youth of Bangladesh and said, ‘Bangladesh is progressing in various indicators including education rate and GDP. There is a young society with a bright potential.’

He said that Switzerland will work to build a friendly, trustful and cooperative relationship between the two countries and work as a partner in the development of this country.

Adviser M Sakhawat Hussain greeted the Swiss ambassador at the beginning of the meeting and said, ‘The interim government wants to work with the Swiss government in cordial and friendly relations.’

The adviser sought Switzerland’s cooperation in the country’s textile and jute sector and shipping sector. He urged Switzerland to come forward to invest in the country’s closed state-owned textile and jute mills. Investment in machinery sector including jute and textile is profitable. He sought the cooperation of Switzerland in the modern management of the operations of the country’s ports under the Ministry of Shipping and the modernization of container handling for the country. The adviser directed the Secretary to further communicate with the Ministry of Textiles and Jute and the Ministry of Shipping regarding investment in potential sectors of foreign investment.

During the meeting, the Councilor of the Swiss Embassy, ​​Alberto Giovanitti, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. Abdur Rauf, Acting Secretary of Shipping Ministry Sanjay Kumar Vanik and others were present.
