during a press conference, detailing that the 11-year-old boy was among five occupants in a Norwest home when the shooting occurred. The boy, who was shot inside a Fairway Drive unit, was treated by police and paramedics before being taken to hospital, where his mother remained by his side. The other occupants were a 44-year-old female and four 18-year-old males,
Moore said, adding that the boy’s condition was life-saving treatment
required.

comparing it to something out of the movies.
The police operation involved a very expansive crime scene,
with officers cordoning off the area to ensure no evidence was missed. It is appropriate for us to have a very expansive crime scene to take in every surrounding area there and to make sure that nothing is lost,
Moore said.
