SYRIZA: The candidacy of Pappas for the Municipality of Athens is over

The Political Secretariat of SYRIZA put an end to the support of the basketball player Nikos Pappas for Municipality of Athens, in view of the self-governing elections.

At the beginning of April, Nikos Pappas was announced as the candidate of SYRIZA-PS for the Municipality of Athens, by the then president of the party, Alexis Tsipras, during his speech to the Central Committee.

Today, however, its members Political Secretariat they are reportedly voting for the new “elect”. The most prominent names are those of Kostas Zachariadis and Nikos Fili.
