In order to ensure trouble-free tram and trolleybus transport, the city will give more than HUF 100 million to the Szeged Transport Company this year for the modernization of the railway and overhead line owned by the municipality

According to the proposal, HUF 65 million would be given from the Szeged budget to expand the equipment park of the Szeged Environmental Management Nonprofit Kft., while the budget for the renovation of roads and sidewalks would be increased by HUF 710 million. The amendment proposal published on the city’s website on Friday will be discussed by Szeged’s representative body at its next meeting on December 15.
