Dubai, Nov. 14: Australia beat New Zealand by 8 wickets in the final of the T20 World Cup to become champions.

This is Australia’s first title in the T20 World Cup. The team had previously reached the finals in 2010.

New Zealand, who made their debut in the final in Dubai on Sunday night, scored 172 for 4 in 20 overs. Australia won by 173 runs in 18.5 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
