Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is suffering due to injury and his participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia has become a problem. It is reported that he is away from the tournament.

However, it has not been officially announced. At the same time, BCCI has confirmed the injury and has not announced his replacement in the World Cup. Currently, Mohammad Siraj has been announced as Bumrah’s replacement for the T20 matches against South Africa.

Bumrah went to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru to know the severity of his back pain. Although back pain problem does not require surgery, it is said to take a long time to recover from it.

However, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that no decision has been taken on the Bumrah issue yet. In an interview to a media outlet, he informed, “Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet. We are sure something will happen. He will get fit again very soon. So, we have not ruled him out yet. It will be known in the next two or three days.”
