(Web Desk) Two key ICC officials have resigned over the T20 World Cup mismanagement.

According to the foreign news agency, head of events Chris Tetley and GM marketing and communications Claire Furlong have resigned.

Many board members complained that the World Cup held in America and West Indies was not pleasant.

According to media reports, the world cricket body has not issued any statement regarding the resignations, while an ICC director, Pankaj Khamji, has called for an investigation into the over-budgeting of the T20 World Cup.

Two ICC officials have resigned over the demand for a probe and Associate Member Director Pankaj Khamji has written a letter to review and conduct an audit of cost overruns. With the resignations starting to come in, the budget is likely to be investigated.

During the T20 World Cup, money flowed like water and expenses went up, revenue went down, USA was the co-host but was a spectator, no official of USA Cricket had any responsibility, all things IC. CK had officials, officials for the USA were also chosen by the ICC, CEO Brett Jones was close to Chris Tetley.

Both the officials resigned ahead of the ICC Annual Meeting, which begins on July 19 in Colombo.
