Tabata Amaral’s criticisms turn on the yellow light in the PSB

Federal deputy Tabata Amaral (SP) criticized the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and turned on the yellow light in the PSB. Party leaders will closely monitor the unfolding of the parliamentarian’s speeches so as not to take any hasty action, but also not to be caught by surprise.

Tabata gave an interview to Estadão and said she was “frustrated” with some actions of the current government, such as releasing amendments to the “secret budget” for Centrão. The position was not digested by important figures of the governing base.

“It is a frustration. When I point out that it is a mistake to pay a secret budget, it is because I take the fight against corruption seriously. When I point out that it is a mistake to praise the Maduro dictatorship, it is because I believe that the dictatorship cannot be received with honor, whether from the right or the left. These frustrations and the scores I make, which many people don’t understand, come from that place. I am very afraid that we will have someone like Bolsonaro in power again ”, he commented.

The PSB, party of vice-president Geraldo Alckmin (SP), wants to know what the motivations led the deputy to make public criticisms of the federal government. Legend leaders point to three alternatives: ideology, what must be respected, interest in running for Mayor of São Paulo or desire to change parties to be an independent parliamentarian.

The first alternative is seen as palatable and necessary for the government. In the PSB’s view, having a media deputy with a critical stance on specific actions by the Planalto Palace could lead Lula’s administration to get closer to the population, if it shows interest in listening to suggestions.

The second option is seen as complex. If Tabata criticized the government to show that it has different views from PT and PSOL, parties that will be the basis of the likely candidacy of Guilherme Boulos, the conduct will be seen as natural and healthy.

However, the PSB intends to join Boulos’ coalition, believing that the psolist has a better chance of winning than the deputy.

Now if Tabata Amaral’s goal is to leave the PSB, the caption will take tough positions and not make the mistake of the PDT. The party does not want to lose a seat, but it will play hard if it sees that the parliamentarian wants to be “independent”.
