The Tactical Missile Armaments Corporation (KTRV) plans to launch the production of civilian drones that will be used as a taxi, said its CEO Boris Obnosov at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Mr. Obnosov, by 2025 the enterprise will produce 30% of civilian products.
“Today we are looking at the production of civilian drones, which can be used as a taxi, for the transportation of goods. Therefore, by 2025, not 30%, but 28%, I think, we will make “civilians”, ”the general director of KTRV told the president (quote from the Kremlin website).
In September 2021, Yandex announced that it would launch unmanned taxis in Moscow’s Yasenevo. Testing was supposed to start in the fall. The company has previously tested drones in Moscow, one of them even had an accident.
