Rafal Majka and Brandon McNulty, two lieutenants of the Slovenian on the Tour de France, have extended until 2024.
The UAE team of double Tour de France winner Tadej Pogacar announced on Friday the extension until 2024 of Rafal Majka and Brandon McNulty, crucial teammates of the Slovenian prodigy, as well as Mikkel Bjerg and Diego Ulissi.
The help of the Polish Majka and the American McNulty was particularly valuable for Pogacar in the high mountains. In the 17th stage of the Tour, it was in the wake of an extraordinary acceleration from McNulty, who had won all the team leaders and Jonas Vingegaard’s teammates, that Pogacar had won at the top of the Col de Peyragudes.
Majka, 32, also took “Handsome” in other high mountain stages, before giving up, injured in a thigh on the first day of the Pyrenean triptych.
