The county announced on the 5th that as a result of a recent announcement by Chungcheongnam-do, a total of three locations, including △Eoeun 1-ri, Taean-eup, △Bangok 2-ri, Taean-eup, and △Simok 1-ri, Sowon-myeon, achieved the great feat of being selected side by side in the small-scale business contest among the Chungnam-type village creation projects.
The Chungnam-style village development project is aimed at revitalizing villages in rural areas and is being promoted to create rural villages where everyone wants to live by systematically developing village communities through step-by-step support tailored to the village’s capabilities. Based on resident-led community activities, we focus on fundamentally responding to social problems such as low birth rate, aging, and polarization.
First of all, Eoeun 1-ri, Taean-eup, started village-building activities in 2017, formed a village corporation in 2020, and carried out various projects based on the corporation’s income. It is an area where the residents’ will for village development is very high.

In the case of Bangok 2-ri, Taean-eup, the importance of culture and arts for communication and unity of the village community was recognized through the village college and village club support project conducted by the Taean Community Integration Support Center, and the residents organized the ‘Neureumul Pungmul Troupe’ and are active in it. Despite her busy schedule, she receives various cultural arts education every night, including pungmul, gogo janggu, and healing laughter.
Under the vision of ‘Bangok 2-ri, an exciting and happy cultural village,’ the residents plan to form and operate a Nerumul culture and arts group, cultivate the village landscape with resident participation, create a Neureumul culture and arts festival together, and foster culture and arts clubs.
Lastly, Simok 1-ri, Sowon-myeon, is an area where the village youth farming association and Shimok Elementary School in the village have been holding a ‘Filial Piety Flower Sharing Event’ since last year and are receiving great response. Through this contest selection, ‘Freshness Flowers’ centered on the nursery. The policy is to create a ‘bloody, happy Simok Village’.

Meanwhile, the Chungnam-style village creation project has been implemented since 2021, and Taean-gun has been achieving steady results every year, including the selection of Sangok 2-ri, Taean-eup in 2021, Inpyeong 2-ri, Taean-eup in 2022, and Eoeun 2-ri and Jangsan 2-ri, Taean-eup in 2023.
