Enhanced by the presence of the High Commissioner for former resistance fighters and former members of the Liberation Army, Mustapha El Ktiri, and the Governor of the province of Al Haouz, Rachid Benchikhi, this meeting was an opportunity to recall the rich lessons and strong messages drawn from the historical epics led by the Alaouite Throne and the Moroccan people for the recovery of the independence of the Kingdom and the defense of its territorial integrity.

In a speech on this occasion, Mr. El Ktiri stressed that this communication meeting is part of the proximity policy adopted by the High Commission for Former Resistance Fighters and Former Members of the Liberation Army, with the aim of interacting positively with the resistance family and continuing efforts and initiatives aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of this category.

While highlighting the great sacrifices made by the population of Al Haouz in defense of the religious constants of the nation, its independence and its territorial integrity, he stressed the importance of celebrating the flagship epics of the national resistance, as renewed opportunities to learn from them and join the development process that Morocco is experiencing under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

For his part, Mr. Benchikhi indicated that this meeting reflects the concern of the High Commission for Former Resistance Fighters and Former Members of the Liberation Army to strengthen ties and bridges of communication with the resistance family in all the prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom.

Mr. Benchikhi also emphasized the important achievements for the benefit of the families of the resistance and the liberation army, in the socio-economic aspects as well as the areas aimed at improving the living conditions of this category, highlighting the high solicitude with which HM King Mohammed VI continues to surround the members of the resistance family.

This meeting was marked by the presentation of financial aid to several families of the resistance and the Liberation Army affected by the Al Haouz earthquake.
