Addressing an event in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, Tahir-ul-Qadri said that many times I am asked why I retired from politics, so my answer is that I am a simple person and straightforward and truthful. Speaking, the fact is that the nation has rejected me in politics.
He further said that as a member of the National Assembly for one and a half years, I decided to leave politics and resigned from the parliament to serve religion. I also did parliamentary politics and protest. I also did politics but people did not accept me in politics.
