The most important meeting of the Communist Party of China began yesterday. Addressing it, Chinese President Xi Jinping defended the ruling Communist Party’s fight against Covid-19.

He hinted that efforts will be made to connect Taiwan with mainland China.

The National Assembly of the Communist Party of China opened yesterday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Around 2,300 party leaders and army chiefs are participating in it.

After the opening of the conference, the President presented a report of his five years of political achievements.

He highlighted the achievements of the last five years in eradicating poverty, strengthening national defense and advancing diplomatic initiatives.

“The Party has led and led the Chinese people to deal with the severe and complicated international situation in a very refined way.

“It has ensured national security by avoiding major threats to the country. It is achieving social progress,” he said.

He said that the communist meeting is happening at a very important time for China.

China’s power is growing globally. At the same time, he warned that dangerous storms are also looming.

“China has achieved extensive control over Hong Kong. China is coping with a major struggle against Taiwan separatism and foreign interference in the Taiwan issue.

“Any decision on Taiwan depends on the Chinese people. China will annex Taiwan by force if necessary. It will never relinquish this right,” he said.

China views Taiwan as a breakaway state. It continues to declare that Taiwan will be annexed by force if necessary.

Talking about the issue of Covid-19, President Xi said that the government is acting considering people’s lives as important.

High-ranking leaders sat in the front row at yesterday’s Communist Party meeting. Supreme Governing Council members and party leaders sat in the first row and listened to the President’s speech.

The president’s address to the Communist Party meeting outlines the country’s policy priorities, economics, approach to the coronavirus, China’s policy on Taiwan, wealth management, and technology initiatives.

The text is believed to be the blueprint for China’s progress over the next 10 years.

Security has been tightened in Beijing for the past few weeks ahead of the 20th Congress of the Communist Party.

At the end of this week-long conference, President Xi is expected to be elected for the 3rd time as the General Secretary of the Party and the Chairman of the Central Military Commission.

The Central Executive Committee of the party consists of approximately 370 members. The Executive Committee will elect the Supreme Governing Council and the Central Military Commission.

‘We will not give up sovereignty’

Taiwan’s presidential office said yesterday that Taiwan will not give up its sovereignty, independence or democracy.

The announcement came after Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech at the Communist Party Congress.

China adheres to the One Country, Two Times arrangement with Taiwan. The Taiwanese people are clearly opposed to this, the statement said.

Maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and the region is the responsibility of both China and Taiwan.

The statement said that the two sides had no discretion to meet on the battlefield.
