just as we were It is an exhibition as the starting point of the project Nicole Florensa and her time which covers the golden years in which Nicole and Apel·les developed their personal lives and as artists between El Vendrell (Tarragona) and Paris. A few decades in which they activated the contexts where they lived, sharing the essence of each moment from the creative will and the vibrant welcome of an exceptional group of intellectuals and artists.
In the era of Artificial Intelligence, the El Vendrell-based Foundation is a reservoir of knowledge where the transmission of artistic and creative experiences acquires another dimension.
This first exhibition presents a selection of objects from the Foundation’s collection, photographs and works of art contextualizing the figure of Nicole Florensa around 1973.
Nicole (Paris, November 30, 1925 – Paris, November 13, 2012), was a discreet artist as a photographer, engraver and painter who explored different techniques. This exhibition opens a new chapter to historiograph and contextualize her work.
In Spain, his work could only be seen at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid in 2008 or at the Museum of Modern Art of the Tarragona Provincial Council in 2010.
