After the defection that caused a storm: Tal Musari returns to the children’s channel. Moderator and actor Tal Musari, who left the children’s channel seven years ago in favor of the rival channel, Nickelodeon, is making a U-turn and returning to the familiar and beloved channel. Musari’s contract with Nickelodeon was recently terminated, and it has now been announced that he will return as the host of “Shastus” alongside Jordan Wiesel and Omar Hazan.

The 46-year-old Musari was the mythological host of the children’s channel and of “Shtus” for 18 years, from 1997 to 2015. His departure provoked a storm, during which viewers called him a “traitor” and surfers made sure to remind him everywhere on the network that his move was unacceptable . In 2016, in an interview with Mako magazine he said that the storm overall did him good. “‘There’s nothing that makes me happier than the’ traitor ‘,’ he said at the time, ‘leaving a job like the children’s channel is a very, very difficult thing, partly because you’re afraid your departure will be accepted complacently. “My big fear was that I would make a move that was crazy to me, and no one would notice.”

At the end of 2015, Musari’s first program on Nickelodeon, “Juice and Song,” aired. In recent years he has also starred in TeenNick’s children’s and youth series including “Forever,” “Siggy” and “Spiders.”
