The El Niño Jesús School in Talagante announced the suspension of classes this Thursdaywithin high risk funerals which will take place nearby, following a double homicide recorded last Sunday.
In a public statement, the educational establishment stated that “In view of the events associated with high-risk funerals in the vicinity of our school, we inform you of the suspension of classes for this Thursday, July 18as a new exceptional and preventive measure, which seeks to safeguard the safety of all our students.”
“This measure includes all students of the school, from both school premises (Plaza and Trebulco),” he said, adding that “On Friday, July 19, classes will resume at regular hours.”
Presidential delegate Stephanie Duarte told Radio Biobío that “regarding the unfortunate death of two people living in the western sector of Talagante, We inform you that the funeral will take place tomorrow. The funeral has been assessed by Carabineros as high risk.
“We are coordinating with all the institutions involved to ensure the safety of the population in the event of any situation that may cause concern or risk,” he said.
