a contest that offers educational loans to young people with limited resources to finance their university studies, with the commitment that they repay the loan at the end of their degree and at a very low interest rate.

They are high school graduates with high academic performance, who live in a situation of poverty or extreme poverty and have entered a university to start their studies or have started them in the 2023 academic year.

On this occasion, Crédito Talento will allow 150 young people to continue with their higher education without worrying about the expenses of the moment, since they will begin to pay the loan at the end of the degree with a compensatory interest rate or very low effective annual interest rate: 2.47%. The terms to cancel the debt can be up to 10 years.

What are the benefits?

-The applicant can choose the concepts that will require that they be financed. These might be:

-Tuition and pension, if applicable

-Acquisition of study materials

-Compulsory expenses to obtain the degree or title

-Local mobility


-Accommodation, when applicable

-Laptop computer or equipment of a similar nature

-Academic, socio-emotional and well-being support is also provided.

What are the co-owner requirements?

To access the credit, the applicant must have a co-owner of the obligation, who will personally, jointly and irrevocably assume the responsibility of repaying the credit until its total cancellation, including compensatory and default interest, administrative expenses, among others. The co-owner must meet the following requirements:

-Not be over 70 years old

-Not be the spouse of the applicant or the person responsible for payment

-Not be participating in any credit call

-Not being registered in the risk center of the Superintendence of Banking and Insurance (SBS) with a negative rating (deficient, doubtful or loss or with equivalent categories) at the last update report

-Do not maintain outstanding debts with Pronabec

-Not be registered in the Registry of Delinquent Alimony Debtors (Redam)

-Not be a beneficiary of another Pronabec credit modality

If the applicant is a minora person responsible for payment must be registered, who is a person who will legally represent them and assume their obligations as long as the beneficiary does not reach the age of majority.
