Kabul: The Taliban has warned that civil servants who do not grow beards and do not wear traditional religious attire will be fired.

In the South Asian country of Afghanistan, last year, the Taliban seized power. Since then, they have been enforcing a number of stringent laws. Recently, women were banned from flying alone. Similarly, women are not allowed to study beyond the sixth standard. Only three days a week in the parks, women are allowed.

The Taliban, which has enacted such harsh laws against women, now imposes strict restrictions on civil servants. ‘Civil servants must grow beards. The Taliban have issued an order requiring people to wear traditional religious attire, long zippa and pants, and a kulla on their heads. Violators have been warned they will be fired.
