Relations between the two countries will worsen
So far the Islamic Emirate has not officially commented on this matter. According to the report, military affairs analyst Ahmed Khan Andar said about the clashes, ‘They cannot tolerate the current security situation in Afghanistan. That is why they are under pressure from their masters and want to bring back the proxy war.’ At the same time, military affairs analyst Mohammad Sadiq Shinwari said that the ever-increasing tension could have a negative impact on diplomatic relations between the two countries in the future.
How the controversy started
Clashes between the Taliban and Pakistan first started on Wednesday last week in the Zazai Maidan district of Khost on the Durand Line. The Taliban allege that the conflict started from Pakistan’s side. When the Taliban was building a security post, Pakistani forces attacked. Since then, there have been several clashes between the two. According to Pakistani media reports, the conflict was started by the Taliban on Saturday and 8 Taliban fighters were killed in retaliation.
