Kozhikode: Reportedly, the four-day online course ‘Immersing with Indian Thoughts’ conducted by IIM for foreign delegates will also be attended by people from the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. The course is organized by the Union Ministry of External Affairs through the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
The invitation was sent by the Ministry of External Affairs. National media NDTV reports that this move is another step by India to engage with the Taliban. Since the course is online, it is reported that this time many people including students from Afghanistan, Taiwan and Mali are participating. India reopened its embassy in Kabul in July 2022, 10 months after the Taliban took over Afghanistan.
Representatives from many other countries are also participating in the online course, which starts today. The course ends on March 17. All members of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program can participate.
“India’s uniqueness lies in unity in diversity. That makes it seem like a complicated space to outsiders. This program will help people from other countries to understand India in a deeper way” – says the content about Kozhis. The organizers added that participants will get an opportunity to experience and learn about India’s economic situation, cultural heritage, social background and more. It is reported that a maximum of 30 people including government officials, businessmen, executives and entrepreneurs will participate.
