The tweet posted by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu condemning the Governor of West Bengal has caused controversy. The Governor of West Bengal replied, “The Assembly was adjourned at the request of the Government.” The BJP leader has been saying, “Chief Minister Stalin should apologize for this.”

The tussle between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Tankar continues. In this context, the Governor has exercised his power under Section 174 of the Constitution to suspend the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from the 12th of this month. This became a matter of debate across the country.

Pointing to this, AIADMK co-coordinator Edappadi Palanisamy speaking at the local election campaign in Salem said, “The Election Commission should pay close attention to the elections in Tamil Nadu. Stalin wanted to see what happened in West Bengal. The governor has paralyzed the legislature in the state. Similarly, in Tamil Nadu, if there are mistakes in the government, the governor may paralyze the assembly. The same situation could happen in the future. ‘

Responding to this, Hindu Charities Minister Sekarbabu said, “Edappadi’s day dream of paralyzing the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly will not come true. He has conveyed the will of the AIADMK to the Central Government through his speech. Following the situation in West Bengal, Chief Minister MK Stalin tweeted, `The action, rules and traditions of the Governor of West Bengal are against. The head of state should set an example to uphold the Constitution. The beauty of democracy lies in mutual respect for one another.
