The impact of the third corona wave in Tamil Nadu was severe in late January and early February. Corona exposure, which began to decline then, is now slowly increasing again. The incidence of corona is increasing not only in Tamil Nadu but all over India. Corona damage has been reported in Tamil Nadu today to an unprecedented extent.
According to a report released by the Department of Health today, 22,757 people in Tamil Nadu were tested for coronas today. Of these, 1,063 have been confirmed to have corona infection. Thereby the total corona exposure increased to 34,64,131.
Today alone, 567 people have returned home after recovering from corona damage. There are currently 5,174 people affected by corona and undergoing treatment. There are no casualties today due to corona infection. Today alone, 497 people in Chennai and 190 in Chengalpattu have been confirmed to be affected by corona.
