Avaniyapuram,

Yesterday, 4 soldiers including soldier Lakshmanan were killed in a suicide attack by terrorists in Rajjauri district. Later, Lakshmana’s body was kept in an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir. His body was brought to Hyderabad by a separate flight this morning (13th) after senior officials paid their respects there.

From there it was brought to Madurai today at 12.15 pm by air. Minister PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan, Collector Aneesh Shekhar, Municipal Commissioner Simran Jit Singh Kalon, Superintendent of Police Sivaprasad, Mayor Indrani, Deputy Mayor Nagarajan, former Minister R.B. Udayakumar, BJP State President Annamalai and a senior army officer paid tributes by placing floral wreaths. Subsequently, Lakshmana’s body was taken to D. Puthupatti in an army vehicle.

Following this, a shoe was thrown on Tamil Nadu Finance Minister PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan’s car while he was leaving after paying his respects to the body of soldier Lakshmanan. The incident at the Madurai airport entry gate created a frenzy.

It has been reported that the problem arose because the BJP government said that tributes should be paid to soldier Lakshmanan’s body only after the government paid tributes to him.
