Chennai: Speaker Appavu has said that the session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly will begin on January 9, 2023 with the Governor’s speech.
Speaker Appavu met the press today (Dec. 26) at the Chennai Secretariat. He then said: “Governor has given permission under Article 174 (1) of the Constitution of India to deliver the Governor’s speech in the first event of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Session 2023. Accordingly, on January 9, 2023, at 10 am at the Chief Secretariat, In the Legislative Assembly Hall, the Governor has agreed to attend the Governor’s speech in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
On that day itself, the duty review committee will meet and decide how many days the assembly will be held,” he said.
